- I first came to Concord to take a photography class and found a beautiful campus with well-qualified faculty who offered rigorous coursework. The faculty were engaged with students, friendly and caring, and that impressed me as a graduate of 2 large universities where this might not have always been the case. Concord was clearly a special place.
- In 1984, I was somewhat intimidated while also being thrilled to be offered the opportunity to teach one 2-hour class at Concord. That invitation began an exceptionally long learning experience for me, resulting in a career that has allowed me to serve in many capacities and to be touched by thousands of students. I am so thankful for the opportunities Concord has provided me.
- Concord has filled my life with faculty colleagues who share so much with me, with many friends who serve in every capacity on campus, and most importantly, with the BEST STUDENTS one could find anywhere. This community has taught me more than I could ever have imagined I would learn, and I cannot express my appreciation for that gift enough. It is the reason that giving back is so important to me now...Concord continues to inspire me every day!
- This year, Concord celebrates 152 years of service and our Giving Day goal is to have 600 donors who offer gifts that will help us to meet the needs of our students and our future Mountain Lions. Meeting this goal will allow us to remain committed to our students' success in the classroom and post-graduation, to maintain our facilities, and to continue to serve the state long into the future.
Your impact can be substantial as you join other Mountain Lions in contributing to this compelling cause. I hope you will join me in supporting this place that each of us care so deeply about. Please donate today or on Concord's office Day of Giving, September 26.
